Dixie Region originated the idea of holding a good-natured autocross to coincide with Pearl Harbor Day. After more than 15 years, no matter how the battle is fought, the Allies always win.
Allies/Axis 2006
The Allies/Axis event was held December 3, 2006 at the South Georgia Motorsports Park. Here are the results
Allies/Axis 2005
The 2005 edition of Allies/Axis, held on December 4, 2005 was a great success! A large number of drivers, and great weather made for a good day at a brand new site. As expected, the battle was fierce, but the Allied drivers repulsed the Axis attack and once again took the day.

Allies/Axis 2003
Due to site availability, there no event was held in 2004. In 2003 Allies/Axis was held at the Commodore Decatur Industrial Park. The cotton was pushed aside, and the former World War II airstrip once again saw fierce action.
The Axis launched a first attack at 7:53am, Sunday, December 7, 2003 and the Allies
responded with a swift and decisive win. People came from far and wide to participate in the battle.

This is Chuck Sample driving Robert Lewis's CP Mustang. You can smell the race fuel just watching this one. Chuck is a
four-time National Champ, Overall Champ in 90, and Driver of Eminence Award winner in 92. The Allies were fortunate to have more
than one visitor of this caliber come in to help out with the battle.

Last but certainly not least is the A Modified driven by George and David Bowland.
This is a purpose built autocross racer with a snowmobile engine and CVT transmission.
Check out the dust and fume trail coming off this baby on the back stretch. George was National SOLO II Driver of the year in
1988 and holds 6 National Championships spanning from 1988 to 2003. George had FTD and was over 10 seconds faster than the next
fastest car.
